Salvation Army Week May 12 - 18

 

National Salvation Army Week will be celebrated May 12 - 18.

You will see the "Red Kettle's" out that week ringing the bell at Wal-Mart. The money raised will help send 20 young people to Summer Camp, so please give generously.

And Don't Miss the Salvation Army Band Concert Wednesday May 14 at the First Presbyterian Church at 4th and Warren Street, in Hudson.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp teaches children new skills, healthy attitudes and great values. For many young people it is a chance of a lifetime, a door opening onto new horizons.

This year the Hudson Salvation Army’s Summer Camp Program plans to send 20 area young people to summer camp. This year there is one camp July 5 -10 (ages 6-12).

The Salvation Army’s Long Point Camp in Penn Yan, New York helps disadvantaged boys and girls open their eyes to a whole new world, the natural world. Long Point offers sports, music, Bible study, arts and crafts, swimming, hiking and other activities for school-aged youngsters in our community.

If you know a child who would like to attend camp please contact Capt. April Griffiths at the Hudson Salvation Army at 518-822-1602 for an application. The Deadline is June 24.
